2024 Election

Trump Laughably Claims He Was ‘Tortured’ in Atlanta Jail, ‘I Want You to Remember What They Did to Me!’

Donald Trump and his campaign team absurdly claimed Monday that he was “tortured” in the Fulton County Jail during his surrender last August on election tampering raps. And now it’s peddling coffee cups with his mugshot. Trump never says how he was tortured, and we can safely assume he’s just having another pity party while trying to rake in money at the same time.

“I want you to remember what they did to me. They tortured me in the Fulton County Jail, and TOOK MY MUGSHOT. So guess what?” a new fundraising pitch from his camp said.

“I put it on a mug for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!”

Well, guess what, Sparky:  You get arrested, and the folks at the jail take your mugshot. That’s how it works for everyone including you.

In the pitch, the Trump campaign is offering supporters the chance to buy one of his “limited edition” mugs featuring the mugshot of him glaring as he was being booked, The New York Post reports.

A fundraising blast suggests Trump was “tortured” during his jail processing on a criminal rap in Georgia.

Trump is the first former president to have his mugshot taken and to be booked in jail on a criminal case. In all, it only took 20 minutes to do this, so it’s difficult to see how he was “tortured.” But Trump will say anything to get attention and his idiot supporters swallow this hook, line, and sinker.

The former president originally faced 13 counts for alleged 2020 election tampering in Georgia, but the number has since been reduced to 10. Practically as soon as he was booked, his fundraising apparatus got going and raised a sizeable $4.18 million in the 24 hours that followed. The campaign sold T-shirts and other memorabilia featuring his mugshot.

I hope the Biden campaign is paying attention, because the Trump team blew right past that record last month, with an enormous $53 million haul after his conviction in the infamous Manhattan hush-money case, his campaign reports.

And Trump definitely bested President Biden on the fundraising circuit in May, pulling in an astonishing $141 million between his campaign and the Republican National Committee, in stark contrast to Biden’s team and the Democratic National Committee, which reported raising $85 million in May.

If the Biden campaign isn’t careful, this awful man, who has bragged on the campaign trail about how he has amassed more criminal charges against him than Al Capone continues to complain about how unfair prosecution is against him.

Trump now faces a total of 54 pending criminal counts encompassing three indictments. He still denies any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

And despite all this, he may still become our next president. Ugh. I really don’t know what’s the matter with people who would still vote for this creep.
