It’s no secret that Donald Trump is a serial adulterer. He cheated on his first wife, Ivana by having an affair with Marla Maples, who became his second wife. He was in the midst of his divorce from Maples when he met Melania Knavs, who became Melania Trump. She’s had to deal with his cheating again and again, most notoriously with adult film actress Stormy Daniels, and we all know what happened after that. Trump is now a convicted felon thanks to some rather convoluted misdeeds on his part.

But apparently Trump has different standards for his son, Donald Trump Jr., who had an affair with singer Aubrey O’Day while he was still married. And dear old Dad didn’t like it. No sirree. It’s an especially hypocritical case of “do as I say, not as I do.”

In an interview with book author Ramin Setoodeh, the former president finally admitted he was well aware of his eldest son’s affair with the former Danity Kane member. Setoodeh has written a tell-all book, Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass. According to other sources Trump was livid about the affair, but in this exchange with Setoodeh, he appears rather thoughtful in this book excerpt below, OK! reports.

“When I ask Trump about O’Day’s affair with Don Jr., he takes a long pause. ‘I had heard that, actually,’ he says, blinking. ‘No, I had heard that.’ Did he know that O’Day had written a song about Don Jr.? ‘I hadn’t heard the song. But I had heard that,’ Trump says, confirming once again that he’s aware of the story about Don Jr. sleeping with one of the contestants on The Celebrity Apprentice.” 

On one episode of Michael Cohen’s podcast Mea Culpa, which featured O’Day, Cohen, Trump’s former fixer/attorney revealed the former president exploded angrily when he heard the news.

“Your father is really f*cking pissed,” he recalled telling Donald Trump Jr. “This is way beyond even what I am supposed to be doing. I sat down with Don, and I said, ‘I understand the attraction [to O’Day], I understand it, but it’s got to stop and you have to figure out how to make this right with [wife] Vanessa. You know I am a fan of Vanessa’s, you’ve got to make it right with her because if you don’t, your father is going to throw you’re a– out of here. And I said, ‘Don, I don’t know what the f— you’re capable of doing,’ to which Don went crazy. ‘Only me! It’s always me!’”

Don Jr. raged at the situation, obviously frustrated at his father’s hypocrisy.

“He goes, ‘I am always held to a different standard. Eric [Trump] had sex with some Miss Universe that was on Celebrity Apprentice — on the table and Ivanka [Trump] has her own issues regarding sexuality and so on and he went on and on…’ I said, ‘Your dad called me in to talk about you and Aubrey, so let’s talk about you and Aubrey. So, what are you going to do? Your dad is f*cking serious. You won’t even have the ability to get into the building and pack your sh*t up. You better start thinking twice,'” Michael said regarding Donald Trump Jr. comparing himself to his younger siblings.

And O’Day herself posted on Twitter (now X) at one point, noting that “don jr HATES his father. -ivanka is a lesbian on the low. -eric f*cked miss universe on the apprentice board room table while with his now wife.”

As you might guess, that tweet has since been deleted. But alas, the internet is forever:

But O’Day wasn’t done, and in another post which has also been deleted, she had this to say:

“And while we are at it.. I have texts of don jr telling me what a little sh*t asshole barron is,” said Aubrey. “That they were on the private jet and barron didn’t like his food so he threw the plate across the plane at the attendant. NONE of these people are INNOCENT of being assholes & liars!”

I don’t know much about Barron Trump, but the last part of that former tweet certainly holds true. What a ridiculous family. Jeesh.

I don’t know if Junior is continuing that cheating thing now that he’s with Kimberly Guilfoyle, but I’m betting that Aubrey O’Day is glad she’s the one that got away.
