There’s all kinds of speculation on social media that Donald Trump may have chosen his vice presidential nominee because of some changes on his campaign website. I’m guessing that Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence doesn’t have to play this game anymore and deal with a fulminating, finger-pointing ogre like Trump.

But sharp-eyed social media users have picked up on the web address trumpburgum.com, noticing that it automatically redirects to Trump’s official campsite, donaldjtrump.com. Naturally, lots of folks are speculating that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum might be Trump’s 2024 running mate. If you plug in the names of other prospective Republican vice presidential picks, you find no such results, Newsweek reports.

There’s been a lot of speculation about Trump’s potential running mate since he became the presumptive Republican presidential candidate last March. In February, Trump confirmed several possibilities were on his list: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Senator Tim Scott, Rep. Byron Donalds, biotech billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy, and former House Democrat Tulsi Gabbard.

But on Wednesday, the X account Still Boneless posted a short video on the platform showing trumpburgum.com redirecting to Trump’s official campaign website. “Looks like Trumpburgum dot com takes you directly to the Donald Trump homepage,” the account noted.

The post was shared by white nationalist Jack Posobiec, who is a senior editor at the conservative website Human Events. “It works.http://TrumpBurgum.com.”

If a creep like Posobiec supports a Trump/Burgum ticket, this definitely doesn’t sound good to any of us who support free speech and the rights of all people regardless of color or sexual or gender identity.

There’s a possibility that Trump may have been considering Burgum for a while, and speculation has surged as a result. The U.K.-based bookies Betfair reports that Burgum has the highest odds, at 5/2. Then there’s also the fact that Burgum confirmed he and his wife wouldn’t be seeking another term. Obviously, this might not be a coincidence.

“Today we announced that we will not seek a third term as governor. Serving as governor and first lady of North Dakota has been one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of our lives. We are eternally grateful to the citizens for giving us this opportunity.”

Senators Marco Rubio and JD Vance have also been mentioned but any and all of those mentioned above including Burgum will be a trainwreck for this country. The North Dakota governor is a gun rights activist, imposed strict regulations on abortions within the state, and even sent the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a report from NBC News. 

So this should give you an idea that perhaps Burgum is a jerk just like Trump and certainly not good for the country.
