You would think that if there was any sort of news show set up to take full advantage of highlighting how it came to be that a Republican who needed to be hidden when she first got to office because she was humiliating Republicans becomes – over two years – perhaps the most powerful Republican in the House, it would be 60 Minutes. Because they have the investigation team to really pin a person to a wall, and there is a lot to investigate about MGT.

Questions go all the way back to December 2020. No one will ever forget this:

Trump loves loyalty above all else and Marj gave Trump everything he wanted. Thus, she is no obviously the most important Republican in the House. If Kevin upsets Marj, a phone call will go down to Mar-a-Lago.

There are so many questions.

But apparently, Lesly Stahl didn’t intensely sit Marj down for a serious talk. There is a lot of disgruntlement on the net about the puff piece photo that has been released ahead of the interview. Granted, perhaps MTG did get hammered behind the cameras, but there doesn’t seem to be any tension in this picture.

If you are interviewing Marjorie Taylor-Greene, it’s not your job to be her friend. And yet, isn’t that what this photo looks like? Two friends out taking a mild walk?

If that is the promo then there is very little reason to believe that we’ll get any serious answers to serious questions and Twitter is furious:

My hunch without seeingt the full footage is that 60 Minutes were expecting Taylor-Greene to say something that would incriminate them, but the chance never revealed itself to them, so 60 Minutes were forced to go with the footage they had.

I might be wrong, but that's my hunch.
