It was always going to take a very brave person, whether it is Bragg, Willis, or Smith. Bragg just happened to come first.

Trump isn’t a “man” to the MAGAs. He is a symbol. Trump symbolizes the entirety of the Right Wing’s hatred for the Left, and that hatred bonded them into a cult. They finally found someone willing to express their hatred and revel in it. Everyone else was too “polite.” They don’t want to make America “Great Again,” these mostly white Christian males want to make sure they control America again after Obama. Because that’s what they think is “great.”

So now they are angry as the symbol of their hatred is now indicted for… illegally paying off a porn star to keep shut about him so sloppily cheating on Melania. The very fact that he paid a porn star off to buy her silence doesn’t bother them at all. Michael Cohen went to prison for that payoff, and it wasn’t even his idea or problem. But now there’s national outrage that the law is applied to Cohen’s conspirator.

Someone has to be the target, and that target is the brave Alvin Bragg, who fearlessly pressed ahead first. Trump has been coming closer and closer to calling for his troops to attack, and they’re listening. Bragg has been buried in death threats. From the New York Daily News:

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been inundated with racist death threats amid his office’s historic indictment of former President Donald Trump, the Daily News has learned.

Included in a litany of profane, typo-laden emails sent to Bragg on the heels of Trump’s Thursday indictment were overtly racist and anti-Semitic insults and threats on the DA’s life. “Hay George Soros a** hole puppet If you want President Trump come and get me to,” read one email. “Remember we are everywhere and we have guns.”

“How do we a a [n—-r] like you removed feom office?” read another email. On a section of Bragg’s campaign website, where people can sign up to receive updates about Bragg’s work, scores of people entered fake names using racial epithets targeting the DA. The majority included despicable language like “bl*** trash [f—-r]” and “Aids Infested…”

It is important to get these out because they reveal what the MAGA movement really is. It’s a hate group, nothing more. But it’s a big hate group.
