HUTCHINSON WAS TELLING THE TRUTH: DC Metro Cop Confirms that Trump Attacked Secret Service Agents

Cassidy Hutchinson was telling the truth when she said that Trump fought with his Secret Service agents to go to the Capitol and lead his army.

If one was on Twitter on the day of Hutchinson’s testimony, MAGAs came from every direction saying that the Secret Service had already “debunked” Hutchinson’s testimony. But the Secret Service did no such thing, they only noted that they would fully cooperate with the Committee. Now we know that the Secret Service “deleted” texts sent on January 5th and January 6th after being requested by the Homeland Security Inspector General’s office.

Highly suspicious. It is also highly suspicious that Bobby Engel, the lead agent on duty that day, had already testified to the Committee weeks earlier. Did he tell the truth?

Hutchinson testified that she heard from a Secret Service agent that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel aand force the agents to take him to the Capitol.

We were told that the agents denied the story. Now, though, CNN reports that a DC policeman is confirming Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony. The policeman was part of Trump’s motorcade and saw the confrontation. From CNN:

A Washington, DC, police officer has corroborated to the House select committee investigating January 6, 2021, details regarding a heated exchange former President Donald Trump had with his Secret Service detail when he was told he could not go to the US Capitol after his rally, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN…

… The description of the angry exchange between Trump and his Secret Service detail was a striking moment during the June testimony from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson. Hutchinson said that she heard a secondhand account told to her by then-White House deputy chief of staff Tony Ornato that Trump was so enraged at his Secret Service detail for blocking him from going to the Capitol on the day of the insurrection that “he reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel” and “then used his free hand to lunge towards” his Secret Service lead agent Robert Engel. Hutchinson testified that Ornato told her the story in front of Engel and he did not dispute the account.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and White House legislative aide Cassidy Hutchinson dance to the song YMCA as President Donald Trump ends a campaign rally in Swanton, Ohio, in 2020.

If the NSA and NRO have satellites several hundred miles above the Earth that can decode Russian military communications, it has the equipment to retrieve the deleted texts on Secret Service phones. The country deserves the truth. If the Secret Service played any role in the insurrection (and it sounds as though agents were willing to lie about it), the country is owed the truth.

There is still so much we don’t know.
