California Doctor and MAGA Insurrectionist is Furious SHE Got 60 Days in Jail, ‘It’s Unheard Of, It’s Unconscionable!’

Simone Gold is a wealthy white woman who participated in the insurrection and is furious that she was sent to federal prison for a “non-violent” offense, who has ever heard of sixty days in jail on a non-violent misdemeanor? (Lawyers and Black Americans, especially Black attorneys, your response is duly noted).

Who is Simone Gold besides all that? Glad you asked because we asked Wiki:

Simone Gold is an American physician, attorney, author, and the founder of America’s Frontline Doctors, an American right-wing political organization known for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic. She gained attention when a video of an America’s Frontline Doctors press conference in front of the US Supreme Court Building went viral in July 2020. She has commented on the COVID-19 vaccine: “[w]e doctors are pro-vaccine, but this is not a vaccine.“

They could’ve just said “Mega MAGA” and we’d have gotten the gist, but it is interesting that she is an attorney and a physician. As an attorney, she would know that the J6 prosecutors are intentionally “under charging” most of the mostly white protesters to keep them away from felonies that would’ve been harder to prove, requiring more trials, sapping more resources, and many of the insurrectionists can be sentenced to appropriate lengths of time under misdemeanor statutes.

Dr. Gold is shocked and angry that she was sentenced to 60 days for a misdemeanor trespass and said it is unheard of. Well, she sort of has a point if this had been a run-of-the-mill misdemeanor trespass, and she’s stretching the use of the word “non-violent” to the breaking point. But much more importantly, this attorney-physician should know that one of the key factors judges look at in sentencing is whether a judge sees and feels genuine remorse. Dr. Gold doesn’t exactly exude remorse. She seems to be furious about this rude sentence. All she did was break into the Capitol to stall Congress!

We feel so bad.
