Watch Trump Struggle to Pronounce the Name of His Own Social Media Company, ‘Truth Social’

We know that Trump often struggles with pronunciation, and especially during his rallies has a hard time saying certain words. But one would expect that world’s biggest liar would be able to pronounce the name of his own social media company? And especially since the name Truth Social isn’t exactly a tough name to pronounce?

Who knows whether Trump will return to Twitter. At this point, it appears Elon Musk is showing signs that he might be backing out of the acquisition. If that happens, Trump is stuck using his own Twitter knockoff. Trump has said in the past that he wouldn’t use Twitter even if he did get his account restored, but we all know that’s a lie.

Trump’s first “truth” wasn’t exactly news breaking.

Axios even reported that Trump is now saying that if given the chance to use Twitter, he will. From Axios:

Former President Trump plans to partially restrict himself from using Twitter, according to a new federal securities filing from the blank check company taking his social network, Truth Social, public. Trump previously said he wouldn’t return to Twitter, even if reinstated by Elon Musk, but many believe it’s a hollow promise.

What the filing says: “President Trump is generally obligated to make any social media post on TruthSocial and may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours. Thereafter, he is free to post on any site to which he has access. In addition, he may make a post from a personal account related to political messaging, political fundraising, or get-out-the-vote efforts on any social media site at any time.”

But as it stands, Trump is still banned from Twitter, which means he’s stuck shilling for his own company, Truth Social. Now, if he could pronounce it.

Over the weekend, videos started to crop up of Trump struggling to pronounce the name of his own company. Here he is calling it “Troth Social.”

Never missing an opportunity to tease Trump for his inability to pronounce basic words, The Daily Show‘s Desi Lydic went to town on the platform they’re now calling “TrothTruthSenchal.”

At an event over the weekend, Trump tried to downplay his excitement over rejoining Twitter by mocking the social media company and teasing Musk for buying too many “bad stocks.” Because Trump has never made a bad business investment…ever. Trump Steaks, anyone? Trump Water, anyone? Trump Models, anyone? You get the gist.

Trump can tweet if Musk lifts his ban, but has to post on Truth Social first, and must wait 6 hours before posting the same content on any other social media network.

Trump claimed Truth Social as the better platform, with the best engagement (a lie), which was rather interesting considering Trump has barely used the platform and only just recently started posting some “truths”, which are Truth Social’s equivalent of “tweets”. Anything with “Trump” and “Truth” in the same sentence should immediately be ignored.

However, The Hollywood Reporter claims that Trump is contractually obligated to post on Truth Social first and must wait six hours before using any other platform to post the same content. So much to his chagrin, Trump is essentially chained to his own social media company regardless of whether his Twitter ban is reversed.
