Lou Dobbs Tells Trumpers That There’s Still a ‘Mathematical Possibility’ Trump Could Win (He’s Lying)

Lou Dobbs has a plan that he knows will work, it just has to be considered by the Senate and House.

We know the plan because we worried that we might get to this point, though we worried it might be a little closer and there might be some kind of evidence to which Trump could point. We know that the state legislators could send Trump electors, overriding their official certifications.

Refreshingly, it seems that the local Republicans have more sense of duty and less fear of Trump because all of them, without exception, have done the right thing and supported the candidate that their citizens chose, Joe Biden.

But Lou Dobbs says to hell with all that. Dobbs knows that alternate electors have been chosen (Stephen Miller warned us about this very thing) and all that needs to happen is for the congress to choose these electors and throw the entire thing to the House for a state by state vote, by Mediaite:

Dobbs touted how Republican electors in several states that Joe Biden won came together to cast votes for the president. As many people pointed out yesterday, this is purely symbolic and completely meaningless to the actual outcome, but Dobbs framed it as “seven states have chosen a slate of electors for both Joe Biden and President Trump.” Which is not what happened.

It would not be meaningless if the state legislatures had sent them, but they did not. They did their duty. These are Trumpers, and thus it is meaningless.

“If the House and the Senate cannot agree on which electors to accept, an untested constitutional procedure could result in each state being given one vote, which they would allocate to either Biden or Trump. And since the Republicans hold 26 of 50 state houses, there would exist at least the mathematical possibility that President Trump could be named the constitutionally-elected president.”

This is the proper procedure, but only if the states sent Republican electors.

Lou Dobbs and the MAGA cult are desperate. He has laid out the official plan that we worried about except the legislatures never came through, all of this is meaningless. We fear a “limited martial law” more than we fear this scenario. But let Dobbs have his fantasy.
