Trump Reportedly On His Way to Walter Reed: His Previously ‘Mild’ Case is Now ‘Moderate’

BREAKING: Trump is headed to Walter Reed today.

Well, this is suddenly getting much more serious, as Trump is currently being flown to Walter Reed for his coronavirus. This obviously means his case is more serious than has been told by the White House. We have been told he basically had the sniffles and now he’s on his way to Walter Reed for “several days.”

This is bad.

And sadly, since we can’t trust the White House, we don’t know the absolute truth.

That said, watching Trump being taken to the hospital is jarring, it’s scary.

One thing that has been hard to escape notice in the 16 hours we have known that Trump contracted the virus is that there has been precious little talk about what happens if he truly gets sick. There has been far more talk about “quarantining” and how that will impact the campaign. Yes, people have mentioned Trump’s advanced age and some of his health problems, but there has not been much talk about “what if,” as there should be whenever the president of the United States has a health problem.

From Mediaite, we learn that Trump is not “asymptomatic:”

President Donald Trump is reportedly “fatigued” with a fever, and has been given experimental therapeutics, including an “anti-body cocktail” to fight the coronavirus.

Not one sensible person wants him to be sick. Wanting a person to suffer from a disease is inhumane. But plans must be made ahead of time should this become something that isn’t just a “quarantine” thing with mild “flu” symptoms.

Fox News chief White House correspondent John Roberts provided details on the therapeutic cocktail on Friday, explaining “This is an experimental drug that is still just finishing up Phase 3 trials and has not gotten FDA approval yet. But they have found in Phase 3 trials that it reduces the viral load in people who are non-hospitalized and have Covid-19.”

No one would expect anything less for the president of the United States no matter how unpopular or how … irresponsible that president has been regarding the virus.

Also, Trump’s “mild” case is now being reported as “moderate”.

A report just came over the airwaves on MSNBC noting that the next debate is scheduled 14 days from now and that the normal quarantine time is 14 days. Again, this would assume that everything goes perfectly and Trump remains relatively symptom-free. Moreover, there are many people that do not necessarily trust the information that comes out of the White House. This is the same White House that never did explain an emergency trip to Walter Reed Medical Center.

More attention needs to be paid to the fact that there are no guarantees in this life. Contingencies must be made. We know one thing: The assumption that Trump simply has a positive result and a mild fever doesn’t mean that everything will be peachy in just three days.
