Trump Just Bragged on Twitter That He Paid For Over 1000 ‘Hamberders’ for Clemson Football Team

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday to boast that he bought a lot of hamburgers for the National Championship winning Clemson football team.

Although Trump, with his “very, very large brain,” spelled hamburgers as “hamberders”.

Trump tweeted, “Great being with the National Champion Clemson Tigers last night at the White House. Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc. Within one hour, it was all gone. Great guys and big eaters!”

He has since corrected the tweet with the proper sleeping of “hamburgers.”

The Washington Post looked at photographs of the event that showed multiple angles of the massive spread of hamburgers, pizzas, chicken nuggets and french fries from various fast food chains including Burger King, McDonald’s and Wendy’s estimated the total cost to be $2,911.44.

Half of that money was spent at McDonald’s alone, the Post reports, though it notes that the cost drops, to $2,437.11

Some of the costs in the Post’s analysis were educated guesses, due to the unique setup of the dinner which included McDonald’s and Wendy’s fries being removed from their containers and placed in White House dishes.

Twitter had a field day:
