Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers Blows Away Twitter: ‘That’s What a Public Servant Looks Like!’

The House Select Committee is focusing on the fake electors scheme today. There have already been some unbelievable revelations, including some from Mark Meadows’s former aide Cassidy Hutchinson who said that Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and several members of Congress were involved in the fake electors scheme. (Each of whom must be wetting their pants right now even though they remain unidentified, Hutchinson couldn’t identify which members of Congress were at the meetings, but the Committee surely knows.). Hutchinson also said that Sen. Ron Johnson would personally deliver Wisconsin’s fake elector certificates to Mike Pence. Ouch.

But it was the Select Committee’s first witness, Arizona Speaker of the House Rusty Bowers that blew the doors off the building with his earnest and somewhat sad testimony. Bowers testified to the fact that he told Trump that Trump had lost Arizona, and Trump turned around and lied about the conversation to the public.

Bowers also said that Trump pressured him to help Trump select alternate (fake) electors from the state and that it astonished Bowers because it would violate his oath of office. Finally, Bowers also said, quite sincerely, that he believed that the Constitution was divinely inspired, and the fact that Trump would attempt to circumvent it so easily was something Bowers just couldn’t stomach and was shocked.

Bower’s testimony ripped through Twitter as powerful and damning:

Bowers was poised, powerful, straight with his testimony, solid in his memory, and firm in his indignation with Trump, whom he even admitted that he voted for.
