Twitter Explodes in Disgust as Trump’s Georgia Pick David Perdue Tells Stacey Abrams: ‘Go Back Where You Came From’ (She’s From Georgia)

David Perdue has absolutely no shot at winning in tomorrow’s Georgia primary for the Republican candidate for the race for governor and thus it seems he chose today to unload a racist diatribe against Stacey Abrams, who is not even his opponent in this particular election (He would have to win tomorrow to face her in November). The anger in his voice and the white entitlement are absolutely shocking.

Yet another Republican rich white man said something that he wouldn’t say if I was his opponent, another white man. He told Stacey Abrams, born in Wisconsin, spent time in Mississippi, and then high school and college in Georgia, is not “from here,” and that if she didn’t like Georgia, “go back where you came from.” I am from Canada. I wouldn’t hear such a thing, in the state in which I spent 5th grade through high school. They would say I’m “from” the state.

Trump endorsed Perdue simply because he hates Brian Kemp and wants him to lose. Kemp was disloyal, because he was unwilling to cheat in the 2020 Election.

Of course, as a black woman, he is telling Stacey Abrams, Spellman grad, Yale-trained law, and Georgia state representative, to go back to Africa if she’s so miserable.

The fact that these are desperate words from a soon-to-be irrelevant politician doesn’t make it better, it actually makes it a bit worse. It is further evidence – as if needed – that the only way to gain ground in the Republican party is to make one’s racism more public.

As you can imagine, Twitter exploded with indignation:

David Perdue spent nearly his entire professional career heading up companies that outsourced all their positions overseas, particularly to Indonesia and China. So while Abrams really is from Georgia, Perdue has been doing all he can to destroy Georgian jobs. So typical and so enraging.
