‘Trump in Hiding’ is Trending on Twitter Because of Humiliating Viral Video, ‘Donald, Why Are You So Scared?’

An odd thing is happening in Virginia that might be flying under some people’s radar and yet may be far more important than a lot of us might otherwise think.

A gubernatorial race is underway pitting Democrat Terry McAuliffe against Virginia GOP candidate Glenn Youngkin. It is a tight race in a state that has gone blue of late, but still quite purple, a state that Democrats desperately want to control. Additionally, because Virginia is a little purple, the off-year election is often seen as a weather vane as to where voters might be moving.

So, again, there’s this odd thing. Democrat McAuliffe has had all the Democratic stars campaigning for him, including Stacy Abrams (talk about star wattage), the world’s most interesting man, Barack Obama, some old pro named President Joe Biden and his wife, who is a doctor of some kind and is really pretty, we can’t recall her name because  – oh! It’s “Jill,” yes, a woman named “Jill Biden,” who might be the world’s most interesting woman, also there campaigning. All the stars are out on the Democratic side.

One would think that the Republican, Youngkin, would counter with the king, the emperor, the indestructible one, the “real winner” of the election (by a landslide), the infallible, and the man who never loses, Donald Trump. One would think.

But one would be wrong. Youngkin seems to want nothing to do with Trump and that can only be based upon the fact that he sees Trump as a liability. Moreover, Trump himself may be feeling like he cannot take another loss (Remember Georgia? The Senators?) And Trump might be a bit afraid of inserting himself. What if this bozo loses? It’s not Trump’s fault (it never is, right?) but Trump might look bad. Best to hide.

It has created a dynamic for some epic trolling, including – according to the Hill:

Democrats are trolling Donald Trump over Virginia GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin’s efforts to distance himself from the former president, including by flying a plane near his Mar-a-Lago resort asking why Youngkin won’t let Trump campaign with him in Virginia.

Funny.

The race is very tight, and Democrats are worried about losing. They believe that if they do lose, it will be precisely because Youngkin successfully divorced himself from Trump. Thus it is that Democrats are doing all they can to marry the two, quite publicly.
