The single biggest breath of fresh air in having the Biden administration is having a real Democratic agenda, an aggressive and huge one, an “FDR-type” of Democrat. The single biggest breath of fresh air out of Congress has been the willingness to aggressively investigate the people right at the center of January 6th and the entirety of “The Big Lie.”

It is increasingly apparent that the House Select Committee on January 6th – the one that the GOP could have made entirely bipartisan and someone chose not to do so – are going to be as aggressive as they need to be to get answers. Right now, the target is Steve Bannon and his possible arrest and potential criminal charges.

But even though Steve Bannon is pretty deep in “Trumpworld,” we all know that Dante’s circle goes far lower and at some point, those family members that were beside dad that entire time, are going to be called to answer some really uncomfortable questions.

It essence, it sounds like the committee is almost giving Trumpworld a choice, “give us the Bannons and Meadows, or we’ll come for Ivanka and Junior.” According to a CNN interview (Video below):

“If Trump thinks he can get away with being cute with his press releases, he has another thing coming,” Gangel told host Wolf Blitzer, who pointed out that the committee has even left the door open to subpoenaing Trump himself.

I think it opens up the Trump family,” she explained. “Remember, Ivanka Trump was with her father on January 6th. She was in and out of the Oval Office. I think that there are going to be a lot of people who are fair game who are very close to the former president.”

It may sound almost shocking, Congress calling the family of a former president to testify? It sounds bizarre, but so does an attempt to overthrow the American government, which is why that same committee may have every single right to call that former president himself.
