Psaki Dumps a Bucket of Lukewarm and Wet Condescension on Peter Doocy and It’s Amazing

We understand. The cliche is supposed to be “dripping with condescension,” but we don’t think “dripping” does Jen Psaki justice. This is more a bucket, or perhaps a garden hose.

The country now has this thing. In what has become a thrice-weekly (at least) event, in which Peter Doocy comes up with what he believes to be a surefire hammering quote for Fox News, only to be owned by Jen Psaki. Interestingly, the stats are starting to clarify with each week and it looks like Doocy has an I.Q. that is eerily close to the square root of Jen’s score.

Today, like many days, the topic was “CRT” or “Critical Race Theory.” We will be the first to admit that CRT taught in grad school can get waaaayyy out there. But so does just about everything in sociology or social justice graduate courses, including stuff that has nothing to do with race. But we’re mostly talking about what is taught to Junior High kids and it’s mostly “Your country isn’t perfect,” which doesn’t sound very harmful.

But this is Fox News and this is Doocy. We get the context from Mediaite:

On Thursday, Doocy asked Psaki about the Department of Education’s admission that a citation in its handbook for schools as they reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic was a mistake.

The citation was a link to the Abolitionist Teaching Network’s “Guide for Racial Justice & Abolitionist Social and Emotional Learning,” which “requires a commitment to learning from students, families, and educators who disrupt Whiteness and other forms of oppression.”

Doocy asked if the Biden administration “will follow up with school districts to make sure that the Abolitionist Teaching Network material is not in lesson plans.”

Up with this, Psaki would not put. She almost shook her head through the words in her answer:

Psaki replied, “Just to be clear, for the context, because I know you love context of what you’re asking about here, what you’re referring to is a citation in a report of which there were a thousand citations, so I’m quite impressed with your researchers for finding one of a thousand citations.”

OMG! “Quite impressed with your researchers”? That’s cold.. AND, Jen had that information in hand, so even her “impressed” comment is a slam because she has better researchers, ones who knew he would ask the question and put it in “context.”

Psaki went on to say that “it was an error in a lengthy document to include this citation. The specific site does not represent the administration’s view and we don’t endorse the recommendations of this group and I believe it’s been removed or is in the process of being removed.

Shorter version: “Don’t bring that sh*t into my press room, b*tch,” only in Psaki’s more professional wording.

Damn, we love this woman.
