Lauren Boebert Compares Herself to ‘Moses’ and Suggests God Told Her to ‘Take On’ AOC

On Sunday Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) took the opportunity to compare herself to the Biblical character Moses. All because according to her God has given her “perseverance” over communism. Boebert was on hand to speechify at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit, where she credited God for allowing her restaurant to flourish.

“I put my faith and my trust in God and said if I commit my actions to the Lord, my plans will be successful,” the Congresswoman told her audience, per Raw Story. “And now Shooters Grill has been open for eight years.

Boebert undoubtedly has little understanding of communism. She’s in close competition with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) and Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) for dumbest person in Congress, even though there is evidence to show that all three were involved with the riots at the Capitol building on Jan.6.

But while speaking at the event Boebert lets everyone know that she’s selfless, she is.

“And this has never been about me,” she tells the audience. “This is about liberty, this is about freedom, the American dream. This is about you. And that’s why this movement is not slowing down. And that right there is where boldness becomes perseverance.”

This from a woman who, on the day of the mob violence at the Capitol building, stood up before Congress where she confronted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and said this:

“Madame Speaker, I have constituents outside this building right now. I promised my voters to be their voice!” she said loudly, in defiance of the counting of Arizona’s electoral college votes, which was upheld in federal court, and later by Congress itself. “Are we not a government, of, by, and for the people? They know that this election was not right, and as their representative, I am sent here to represent them. I will not allow the people to be ignored.”

The speech was manna to her followers but alarming to her critics, many of whom believe that a tweet she fired off that morning may have spurred the violence.

“Today is 1776,” the tweet read.

But this is Boebert in a nutshell. Boebert who insists that she perseveres in Congress daily, and Raw Story reports, points to a Bible verse that she claims God says “He will fight for you.”

“When I have a bold idea, I am able to persevere because that idea is usually bigger than me,” she said. “And I know if it’s bigger than me, God has to be involved!”

“Right after God said that to Moses, he said, why are you crying out to me, tell the people [to] go forward with what is in your hand,” Boebert told the audience. “So I’m telling you all now, be bold, persevere, and go forward with what is in your hand right now.”

At that point, Boebert claimed that these (supposed) similarities to Moses make it possible for her to “take on” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) and communists in Cuba.

This woman is that rare mix of dangerously nuts and someone who thinks she has God behind her. Let’s hope her days of inciting people to do dangerous things are behind her.
