Jim Jordan is OUTRAGED That Biden Kept Private Email as VP — Will Ivanka Get the Same Scrutiny?

We knew that we couldn’t go a Biden term as president without hearing about outrage over emails. We knew it. It is a reflex. They cannot help it.

We have absolutely no idea whether Biden broke any rules regarding the emails, it does not sound like he did. From a Fox News Report:

As vice president, Joe Biden kept a variety of private e-mail addresses from which he would sometimes forward and receive government correspondence, Hunter Biden’s laptop shows.

“Robin Ware,” “Robert L. Peters” and “JRB ware” were three such pseudonyms on e-mails that mixed official and family business.

If you are the Vice President of the United States, you likely keep some email addresses under pseudonyms. After all, if one is a writer for a medium-sized website, one keeps a private and public one. The Vice President? Sounds reasonable.

In a four-week period in 2016, for instance, John Flynn, who worked in the Office of the Vice President, sent Joe his official daily schedule to his private e-mail address [email protected] and copied Hunter.

Some of the schedules were more substantive, but – again – these are generally public information:

Poroshenko was president of Ukraine and, at the time, Hunter was being paid $83,333 a month to sit on the board of corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings Ltd. Hunter introduced top Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi to his father in April 2015 at a dinner at Café Milano in Washington, DC.

Hunter had no business being on the Board of Burisma and we’ve said that before, and yet it was not against the law. Additionally, anything Biden threatened against Ukraine actually hurt Burisma and mirrored the policy of the United States and the EU.

In December 2015, Biden famously threatened Poroshenko that he would withhold $1 billion in US aid unless he fired Ukraine’s top prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who at the time was investigating Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky. Shokin was removed from office on March 29, 2016.

See above, same thing.

Speaking of public schedules, we receive the president and vice president’s schedules each morning. This would seem to be public information. We suppose that technically, Biden did forward an official government email to a private email address. Interestingly enough. so did the Trump White House who sent Trump schedules. “Trump will spend the day having many important meetings and many important phone calls from early in the morning until late at night.” (these were the typical schedules late in the term.)

If the Republicans want to get into private email accounts, they are going to have to explain this, from the WaPo:

Ivanka Trump sent hundreds of emails last year to White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants using a personal account, many of them in violation of federal records rules, according to people familiar with a White House examination of her correspondence.

We do not recall any sort of outrage. But then again, Democrats are out of practice. This guy is not:

If hearings are held, we hope that the Democrats reserve the right to call the Trumps, all of them, including the president guy who insisted upon keeping his private phone.
