Trump Freaks Out Over Report That He Tried to Use the DOJ to Steal Election: Claims He’s the Hero
Most people who face possible serious charges due to newly found evidence use the interim period to say absolutely nothing, or at the very least, say nothing about the troublesome stuff and distract people with something irrelevant and boring. Trump would be better served talking about a bird sanctuary created by a piece of his legislation rather than writing about “the” issue that is on everyone’s mind. The New York Times’ story, which set forth the fact that Trump directed the acting A.G. to declare “something” about the election fraudulent (paraphrased) and leave the rest to Trump and congress.
That is pretty damning evidence, especially considering the fact that acting Attorney General Rosen is now almost surely going to be one of these star witnesses in front of the committee and asked about that specific phone call and his impressions as to what Trump wanted when saying find something fraudulent and then let him handle it (and the Congressman).
Trump doesn’t want this, “Possibly going to prison” story dominating the news. So…
In response, Trump put out a statement through his press secretary Liz Harrington (a proven election truther), going right at the accusations, poorly, with very little to say beyond obvious anger and fear:
“The corrupt and highly partisan House Democrats who run the House Oversight Committee yesterday released documents—including court filings dealing with the rigged election of 2020—that they dishonestly described as attempting to overturn the election”

What? But he wasn’t done, he added one more inexplicable comment that seemed to go against all…
“In fact, it is just the opposite. The documents were meant to uphold the integrity and honesty of elections and the sanctity of our vote.
Now, did anyone notice that he did not deny telling the Acting-Attorney general to declare it fraudulent and leave it to him and Congress? Telling, very telling. Of course, we all noticed that he just announced himself as the one person most interested in ensuring that the election was fair and that everyone’s vote was counted. He is the hero!
No one was buying it:

"Our country has just suffered an incredibly corrupt Presidential Election, and it is time for Congress and others to investigate how such corruption was allowed to take place rather than investigating those that are exposing this massive fraud on the American People."

Sure, Jan.
The net had some interesting takes on the panic attack release:
To clarify things…
The President of the United States and chief law enforcement officer in the country is Joseph R. Biden. And he is fighting for election integrity. The only problem Americans have to worry about is the GOP's shameless and relentless attack on voting rights. https://t.co/pN1j3nJLc0

Notice he doesn't deny telling the acting attorney general just say it was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen.
