Well, maybe this will teach them? This “stolen” stuff has to be stamped out if democracy is to survive. It will not die on its own and it will not be confined to just elections against Joe Biden or big Senate or Gubernatorial elections. The democracy-destroying MAGA-Rigged response to any result they don’t like will now apparently be used within the GOP itself.

Good. Because perhaps that is the only thing that could possibly stop it. When the people that started it see that it’s hurting them, too – maybe they’ll end it.

As most know, mentally unwell Trump-MAGA supporter Lin Wood (We no longer mock him. We are convinced he is unwell. The Georgia Bar Association wants him examined. We do not mock mental illness, even in MAGAs), ran for chair of the South Carolina GOP on Saturday. Wood is expected to get his ass kicked, but delegates already fear the backlash coming from many “real people,” the people of the land, the grassroots of the Republican party, the type that Trump secretly hates but must pretend to love. The South Carolina GOP and Trump need their money and their vote. They might not get it.

Wood is already playing it up. According to Politico:

“Like Trump, Wood is already accusing McKissick of election fraud — without any evidence — even before the first ballots are cast Saturday. Wood has gone so far as to make dark insinuations that McKissick isn’t doing enough to stop ‘the real pandemic’ of ped*philia, and suggested he needs to resign over unspecified ‘nefarious activities’ with GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham. Wood has also called the coronavirus pandemic a ‘plandemic,’ suggesting it was part of an organized plot.”

The problem in South Carolina is many of the people at the county level, the delegate level, have been echoing the former president’s fact-free claims of election fraud, but those very people are now going to have to turn around and defend the legitimacy of this election. But they don’t have a lot of moral authority to dispute fact-free claims of election fraud.”

It gets worse. Trump actually supported McKissick, the relatively stable one, over his biggest supporter in Wood. And Wood is making slight suggestions that even that endorsement might be manipulated.

Regardless, the GOP has issues and they couldn’t possibly deserve them more:

“Wood’s candidacy is an immediate nothing-burger, but in the long term, everyone better pay attention. The base is pissed and questioning anyone and everyone who has been around for more than a couple years.

Look out, boys. (You, too, Elise). They are coming for you, no matter how MAGA you might be.
