Trump Says Being President Was ‘Very Traumatic’ for Him and Questions Whether He Could Go Through That Again in 2024

We are going to get to the very odd and interesting response to the question about 2024. But setting the tone of Hannity’s not-hard-hitting interview right out of the gate will sure help.

Obviously, any answer is ridiculous and not worth a response.

The question we do find somewhat interesting involved Trump’s plans for 2024, an issue we do plan to monitor because it has such an impact on the MAGA party, potential violence, and impact on every single other race. If Trump decides to run again, there will be no limits on his “instructions” to his MAGAs, both before and after the election. Imagine the threat he wants everyone to feel as he campaigns.

Sean asks: “Are you running again in 2024? What are the odds?

In the answer, Trump assures us he could walk right back in, he’s that popular, but then drifts:

“I got tremendous numbers,” he said. “Nobody has ever gotten the numbers I got. No sitting president has come even close. There’s more popularity now then there was the day before the election because they see how bad things are at the border. They see what’s going on. They see that their guns are going to be gone, their Second Amendment. Their taxes are going up. Regulations are going through the roof. Jobs are going to go out.

After drifting a bit, he says:

“So I say this, I am looking at it very seriously, beyond seriously. From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet; it’s a little too soon.”

Okay, all normal Trump stuff, he’s the greatest, ever, no one’s even close in numbers, except the guy who proceeded him who was never more popular when he walked out the door.

What is “beyond seriously?” He wants his donors “beyond seriously” sure that he’s running. Because we don’t know of any campaign laws that preclude him from declaring his candidacy. So “from a legal standpoint” likely has nothing to do with campaign law. He may be worried about disclosures that might come out, perhaps financial, perhaps Russian, perhaps from the siege … any of them might compel a prosecutor to go much further in order to preclude another term. It may convince the nation itself (non-MAGA) that he needs to be stopped – formally stopped. It may wake Congress up enough to pass a law requiring a candidate to file years of tax returns and other financial records in order to run. “From a legal standpoint” encompasses a lot of worries that have nothing to do with the FEC.

But far less MAGA money will come in unless he’s thinking “beyond seriously.”

Did Trump claim he is the biggest presidential victim of all time? Of course, he did, while also declaring he has-had a perfect life:

“I miss the most, helping people … that’s why I did it. Look, this has been very traumatic,” Trump responded. “I had a great life, great company, great business, no problems, and now all I do is, people go after you. It’s vicious, it’s horrible, but you know what? I loved doing it because I helped people. And I’ve helped them more than any president.”

Says the man who oversaw hundreds of thousands lives lost to a pandemic. He incited his supporters to storm the Capitol.

No, the only tidbit from that interview that deserves to be considered? “From a legal standpoint… ” There is something there. We can’t sure as to what specifically. But there’s something worrying him. That is a real good thing.
