Things are Looking Very Bad for Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, and They ‘Should Be Worried’ About NYC DA Investigations

Former White House Counsel John Dean has bad news for Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric and warns the trio “should be worried.”

In an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon earlier this week, the two discussed the ongoing investigations into the Trump Organization and whether Trump’s adult children might be in hot water, Queerty reports.

Don Jr. was deposed earlier in February as part of the Washington, D.C. Attorney General’s lawsuit alleging the misuse of Trump’s inauguration funds. But that’s not all, Jr. is also being investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as part of a probe into the Trump Organization’s finances.

Ivanka was deposed by lawyers from the D.C. Attorney General’s Office in December and Eric was deposed by the Manhattan DA’s Office in October.

Dean told Lemon the situation isn’t looking good.

“I think they should be worried,” Dean said, explaining that while the Trump family has finagled their way out of trouble with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance previously, he doesn’t think that’s going to be the case this time.

“I don’t think [Vance] looks very favorably on the Trump family anymore, and he wants to clean up his reputation,” he said. “So he’s probably being very aggressive about them and pursuing any potential criminality.”

The situation isn’t looking all that great for dear old dad either, now that the Supreme Court has denied his desperate years-long attempts at keeping his tax returns and other financial documents out of the reach of prosecutors.

That led to millions of pages of key documents have now been turned over to Vance’s office, including tax returns, tax prep documents, financial statements, and communications pertaining to Trump’s tax returns.

“There’s almost a terabyte of data,” Dean said. “That’s massive. That’s thousands upon thousands of documents.”

“This is going to show how they prepared the tax returns over the last eight years that they’re looking at. The memos back and forth. Records of phone calls where the accountants were being instructed. So if there’s malfeasance, non-feasance, or misfeasance in there it’s very likely to be in that terabyte.”

Dean shifted back to Trump Jr., explaining that his involvement in the family business was limited, largely because “his father didn’t have the greatest faith in his skills and abilities and he was often kept out of things.”

Queerty noted: “And all this time, we thought Eric was the dumb one.”

Dean wrapped up the interview by saying the cases may take several directions because they are so vast and the situation may take a considerable amount of time.

“Who knows where all this is going to?” he said. “The conspiracy law in New York is very broad, as most states have, and they’ve been operating clearly in secret for a long time. And that’s what Mr. Vance is looking at. So, I think he’s got jeopardy.”

After four years of dealing with this obnoxious man and family, this news is, quite frankly, a relief.

I’ve provided a clip of the interview below.
