Rioter in Fur and Horns Becomes a Trump Nightmare: ‘Trump Invited Us’ and He ‘Wants a Pardon’
We have all seen pictures of the guy. He looks a little bit like a character straight from Game of Thrones, perhaps a little less classy (and Trump hates low class people). We are not sure what message he meant to send with his outfit, perhaps in his mind America was great a long time ago, back when men were men and beavers were scared.
Or he’s just a freak who wanted to show off his white nationalist tatoos. Whatever his motivations, he’s become known on the net as the “Qanon Shaman” and he might as well have worn a big t-shirt with his name, address, and phone number along with a big “Arrest Me!” written across the front and back.
But it didn’t matter. Jacob Chansley has been arrested (surprise!).
Mr. Chansley likely sees himself as one of Trump’s staunchest supporters, a lot like Mike Flynn, and thus he should be treated like every other big Trump supporter and get a pardon. Indeed, he might claim selective prosecution (not really) if he sees himself as facing criminal liability when all the guys in shirts and ties got away with it. Why is it only men in horns that storm the Capitol who don’t get a pardon?
Regradless, the best part about all this is Chansley’s rationale for the pardon. He was following orders.

Oh, so if the officer at the bank opens the door on your way in, it is an invitation to rob the bank? But notice the second portion, “he was there at the invitation of President Trump.”
Trump’s lawyers are going to be arguing that he didn’t “incite” anyone, nor did he order anyone into the Capitol, nor cause anyone to go into the Capitol, and yet among the people that did rush the Capitol, they see things a bit differently. They do believe that they were invited.
It would not be definitive evidence in a court, but it would be evidence. It probably won’t be definitive evidence in the impeachment trial, but it will be strong evidence.
Perhaps that’s why Qanon shaman is trending on Twitter right now:
Interesting how the lawyers for the rioters are using the “Trump Made us do it” defense — “The president’s words mean something — it’s not trespass when the president tells you to do something.” https://t.co/SIFoBLkbJb

What I love about this is if Trump pardons then he's admitting that he incited violence and insurrection. If he doesn't then he's throwing his core supporters under the bus. Either way Trump's fucked. https://t.co/Gv5MxapDL6 #Trump #TrumpInsurrection @RussInCheshire

Man known as 'QAnon Shaman' asks Trump for pardon after storming Capitol
Because of course he does. So will Trump listen to his attorneys when they tell him not to do it?https://t.co/ZpIcFo7cfM

Yeah. We will see what happens. He certainly has become a problem for Trump.
