Despite the fact that Biden had a little fun with Fox Reporter Peter Doocy (son of Fox and Friends host Steve Doocy) it was the kind of fun where Peter likely appreciated the humor and didn’t feel slighted or slammed. People who have a real sense of humor know that, while it can be brutally effective at times when fists might be considered, it is not something that should be used to hurt another person. Putting people in pain is not funny.

It is nice to have some laughter in the White House again.

Donald Trump wasn’t even slightly funny. At every public appearance in which we saw him pretend to be funny, Trump did nothing more than insult people while somewhat giggling himself – as if to say he wasn’t really serious, except he was serious and it was cringe-worthy.

Today as President Biden left the brief press conference after he signed the executive orders, Peter Doocy shouted out a rather ridiculous question; “What did you talk to Vladimir Putin about?” as if he actually believed that Biden is going to turn and say, “I said the nukes would be launched in five minutes if he ever contacts Trump again and …”

Doocy knew that Biden wasn’t going to answer the question. Perhaps Doocy wanted to make a comparison between Biden and Trump, saying: “The left criticized President Trump for not disclosing his calls with Vladimir Putin, but today, President Biden wouldn’t comment upon being asked …” Instead, President Biden did comment on it. Asked “What did you talk to Vladimir Putin about,” Biden said “You. He sends his best.”

Now that’s funny.

And the thing is, it is a very very gentle way of saying, “You f’ing tool! Of course, I am not going to divulge what I talked to Putin about, and even if I did it would be platitudes like ‘working together.'” The reality is that Biden could’ve told Putin to get bent and that he knew everything that had gone on. We won’t know.

But does Peter Doocy feel unfairly spanked? Embarrassed in front of his colleagues? No, he likely is a little proud that Biden decided to kid with him.

That is what a real adult does, man or woman, one makes their point with ease and does so to teach, not hurt. Watch:
