Trump Says Biden Can’t Enter the White House as President Unless He ‘Proves’ He Won Fairly

Here is something that can be proven! Donald Trump lacks the ability to fundamentally understand how elections work and how court cases work! That’s a pretty nasty combo for someone in his fourth year as president and a man who has sued god only knows how many people over the years.

He wants Biden to “prove” he won the election!

The problem is that Biden already did prove he won the election. As states certify their elections, those certifications will then go to the electoral college, where, in any other year, the vote is identical to the state’s voting, and a winner is submitted to the Speaker of the House. Somehow the House affirms the win in the first days of the session (we’re unclear on the mechanics but it happens), it’s never been an issue. So Biden’s already proven most of what he has to prove and is in the process elsewhere.

Trump, meanwhile, is the guy trying to claim fraud and the election shouldn’t count (in certain states only, he’s not challenging Florida or North Carolina) and tie up the entire affair into chaos such that his GOP buddies with their majorities in various areas can work out some historically wrong decision. We could spend three-thousand words laying out the court process and what an injunction might or might now do to the process. But that’s not the point. Right now, all we know is that this is … incorrect!

Actually, Trump is the one with the big seemingly insolvable problem and Biden can enter the White House on January 20th after the process. Trump has to prove that all those black people didn’t vote for Biden. (Note, Trump only includes the big big cities, he doesn’t list anywhere else).

If Trump wants to jump into the certification issue, he is the one who has the “burden of proof.” He is the one trying to say everyone is wrong. Everyone else is just doing their jobs. Do note that 22 out of 24 (we think at last count) were thrown out immediately, even by some Trump-approved judges.

We are sure you understand, even without the explanation. Our readers are far more sophisticated than most and “most” of the net had a good time with this one:

Leave it to Meidas Touch to have the perfect response:

Tom Joseph sets out some burdens of proof:

We love this one below:

That above, we could write an entire column on the shame the Republicans continue to suck into their entire “squad” (we believe that’s what the mob calls their outfits, or “family” with one daddy?)

We include this MAGA head response above as symbolic and an opportunity to say that, first, he’s exercising his 14th Amendment rights far more than first, due process, notice and right to be heard. But that’s not the point, the point is he is doing a lot “wrong.” He is destroying half of America’s faith in elections, which means half of America is that much closer to giving up on Democracy altogether.

Why not just allow Georgia to declare their electoral votes are going for Trump? Why bother counting the votes because it was close and Georgia selected a GOP Sec. of State and Governor for a reason, so why can’t they send who they want in a close election? That’s where the thinking descends and democracy dies.
