Entire GOP in a Panic: Trump Refuses to Prepare for Debate with Biden

The man who paid someone else to take his SATs and who famously won’t read the documents prepared by the multi-billion dollar U.S. intelligence apparatus intended to keep us safe, is so sure of his uncanny abilities that he refuses to put the time in to prepare for his debates with Joe Biden and has no plans to formally prepare, according to NBC News and a report in today’s Rawstory. One would like to be shocked but only someone who’s been asleep since … 1990 could possibly be surprised that Trump refuses to prepare for something important.

Trump says that debates “aren’t something you have to practice.” Of course, not – he’s a natural at everything. Practicing is an admission that one is less than perfect.

The first of three presidential debates is scheduled for less than two weeks from now in Cleveland Ohio. If anything, this year’s debates are even more important than usual given that half of Trump’s entire platform is that Joe Biden is too senile to serve. If Biden shows up and speaks to the issues coherently, he can’t help but already be way ahead of Trump from the get-go.

GOP operatives around the campaign worry that Trump will be seen as overly aggressive and that his overconfidence could be his downfall against Biden who is very skilled at these debates.

“(Biden is) a politician. He gives speeches. He’s really good at doing it. He’s also very practiced at it.” And Stepien acknowledged that Biden is “formidable on the debate stage.”

Meanwhile, Trump can end up talking about himself and his own greatness all too often which would be especially dangerous when the American public wants to see someone who cares about what people are going through. Trump will always be vulnerable when people are looking for someone who cares.

Biden told NBC News, “I’m looking forward to getting on the debate stage with Trump and holding him accountable. I think I know how to handle bullies. We’ll find out.”

We sure hope so. Anyone in the middle who has been watching Fox News might be shocked to see the contradiction in Biden the man versus Biden the myth on Fox. Moreover, all of Trump’s vulnerabilities will be on display. Trump will come across as Trump, only less prepared.
