Trump Supporters Accused of Endangering Space X Crew by Sailing By Capsule During Splashdown

This would not be a story if it weren’t for the fact that Trump is continually calling out his “boater support” as a sign that he’s doing very well in Florida. We have repeatedly pointed out that it would be no surprise that boaters – overwhelmingly “white, male, country club-type,” in Florida, would love Trump and be perhaps overly represented and not the typical Florida voter.

But Trump does point to his boaters, and that likely explains what the hell a boat with a huge Trump flag was doing in and among the real boats out to assist the Space X crew:

As Rawstory states:

Supporters of President Donald Trump on Sunday were accused of jeopardizing astronauts’ return to Earth.

After SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule became the first American spacecraft to splashdown in 45 years, a boat flying the Trump flag was spotted within feet of the astronauts.

“Within feet” sounds a little bit overdone in looking at the video, but they certainly were too close. One would have thought that the entire area would have been secured by the Coast Guard due to national interests, but apparently not. It is likely that everyone thought that no one would come in and fck with the damned Space X crew. Who would be that big a jerk?

Glad you asked:

We wouldn’t be a lot. It is doubtful and we can’t know.

Perhaps one or two of them meant well, being too stupid to know that the multi-billion dollar company and the U.S. government definitely have the situation in hand and don’t need help. Perhaps. But the Trump flag?

Yeah, that would seem to be the right message.

It is hard to say one is surprised by anything the MAGA heads do anymore. But people on Twitter were pretty pissed off:
