Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to ‘Profoundly Dangerous’ Trump: ‘F-You, Donald Trump’

The mayor of Chicago is not playing around when it comes to the President* of the United States.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot says “F-You” to Donald Trump…this doesn’t need any sort of lead-in.

From Chicago’s WGN:

“Donald Trump’s comment last night was profoundly dangerous,” Lightfoot said. “And we must stand firm in solidarity and say this is totally unacceptable no matter who the speaker is. And we see the game he is playing. Because he’s transparent and he’s not very good at it. And I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump. It begins with an F and it ends with a U.”

Holy shit! She isn’t the mayor Berkeley, or Cambridge, this is the Mayor of Chicago, five million people strong, and a major figure in United States’ politics. She leads a city that has more people than many states. She is saying this to Trump? She must be in a furor, as we all are. But she is more restrained by her position … until now.

The mayor said she watched in horror as not only the events unfolded in Minneapolis after 46-year-old George Floyd was allegedly killed by a police officer — who has since been arrested and charged — but as the president tweeted a threat to shoot protesters.

Did she lump Trump in with the killing by Officer Chauvin? Yes. And she absolutely should list Trump and make him a co-conspirator among cops that kill. Trump is the one who told cops to not guide a person’s head into the back of a car. He liked it when they rough them up a little. Trump is the one who “both sides” everything, including encouraging the protesters forcing themselves into the capital of Michigan loaded to the teeth with weapons of war. Those protesters don’t get arrested or called-out by Trump. Mayor Lighthouse was right to list Trump along with the cops killing George Floyd.

What a stunning development and what a brave leader! Bravo. We don’t have a lot of good news to report, but we have a little little bit. People very much supported her.

Exactly.

Yes, it is.

I am right with her. Someone brave enough to lead.
