Trump Just Lost It on Twitter and Suggested That Hillary Clinton is Funding Michael Cohen
Donald Trump lashed out at his former lawyer Michael Cohen in a tweet on Friday morning, claiming his former lawyer praised him in a book pitch long after saying he had turned on the president.
And Trump is on the warpath.
“Wow, just revealed that Michael Cohen wrote a ‘love letter to Trump’ manuscript for a new book that he was pushing,” Trump wrote. “Written and submitted long after Charlottesville and Helsinki, his phony reasons for going rogue.”
“Book is exact opposite of his fake testimony, which now is a lie!” he added.
Trump is referring to a Daily Mail story on a book Cohen pitched, several weeks before the FBI raided his office in April 2018, that praised the president vociferously.

In a subsequent tweet, Trump argued the book manuscript undermines Cohen’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee, and called on Congress to demand a copy.
Congress must demand the transcript of Michael Cohen’s new book, given to publishers a short time ago. Your heads will spin when you see the lies, misrepresentations and contradictions against his Thursday testimony. Like a different person! He is totally discredited!

Cohen has repeatedly claimed that after working for Trump for a decade — a man he now describes as a “a racist… a conman… a cheat” — two pivotal moments of Trump’s presidency made him turn on his former boss: the president’s remarks in July 2018 at the Helsinki summit with Russian Vladimir Putin, and his response to the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville in August 2017.
Trump then tweeted again and said that “Cohen’s book manuscript shows that he committed perjury on a scale not seen before.”
Trump also makes the completely unfounded suggestion that Cohen is being paid by Hillary Clinton.
Michael Cohen’s book manuscript shows that he committed perjury on a scale not seen before. He must have forgotten about his book when he testified. What does Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, say about this one. Is he being paid by Crooked Hillary. Using her lawyer?

Twitter had some thoughts:
1. What says his book proposal from a year ago is true?
2. Davis' role in the Clinton White House was largely as a legal spokesman and I don't think he's ever actually represented Hillary in a legal capacity. https://t.co/nkBx4m4JGR— Jennifer Epstein (@jeneps) March 1, 2019
That Michael Cohen is such a liar. So is Roger Stone. And oh yeah same goes for Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, and George Papadopolus. And they have one thing in common: Trump hired them all. https://t.co/9b5voVQomN

So if he's been lying this whole time…why the hell did you keep him as your personal lawyer this whole time? https://t.co/OMRsh3uOD1
