Trump Just Lost It on Twitter and Said That He’s an ‘Innocent Man’ Who’s Being ‘Persecuted’

Donald Trump is finally awake this Sunday morning and has hit Twitter claiming he’s an “innocent man” which is definitely something an innocent man would say.

These tweets follow a long day and successful speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference where Trump also addressed the “witch hunt” against him. Again, not something an innocent man would do.

These tweets are most likely prompted by the Sunday morning news shows, which have focused relentlessly on Michael Cohen’s testimony last week before the House Oversight Committee.

Trump tweeted, “After more than two years of Presidential Harassment, the only things that have been proven is that Democrats and other broke the law. The hostile Cohen testimony, given by a liar to reduce his prison time, proved no Collusion! His just written book manuscript showed what he…

He continued, “…said was a total lie, but Fake Media won’t show it. I am an innocent man being persecuted by some very bad, conflicted & corrupt people in a Witch Hunt that is illegal & should never have been allowed to start –

And only because I won the Election! Despite this, great success!”

A strange note is that Trump sent the second tweet, the second half of his full statement, 19 minutes BEFORE the first part.

Trump appears to be referencing an apparently imaginary manuscript for a Cohen book that doesn’t exist. But given Trump’s ability to travel through time, at least on Twitter, perhaps the operative phrase is that Cohen’s manuscript doesn’t exist… yet?

Cohen, who was sentenced to prison last year after pleading guilty to financial crimes and campaign finance violations, publicly testified before the House Oversight and Reform Committee. His testimony included several allegations that Trump committed crimes over the years.

Among other things, Cohen said that Trump directed him to break the law and make a nondisclosure payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with the president.
