Trump Just Exploded on Twitter Over Russia Investigation, ‘There Should Be No Mueller Report!’

Donald Trump lashed out on Twitter Friday morning and claimed that a transcript of former FBI agent Peter Strzok’s closed-door testimony last year was “devastating” for the FBI and Department of Justice, arguing that the transcript proved that his campaign was under investigation as early as 2015.

In a tweet that follows coverage of the transcript’s release by Rep. Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, Trump said that he hoped Robert Mueller’s upcoming report on Russian interference during the 2016 election would cover actions taken by the Justice Department and Strzok specifically.

“New evidence that the Obama era team of the FBI, DOJ & CIA were working together to Spy on (and take out) President Trump, all the way back in 2015.” A transcript of Peter Strzok’s testimony is devastating. Hopefully the Mueller Report will be covering this. @OANN @foxandfriends,” the president tweeted.

He ended the thread that an investigation like this should never happen to a president again:

Trump’s tweets come after the House of Representatives voted 420-0 in support of having a public version of the report once it is submitted. The New York Times reports the non-binding resolution is to put pressure on Attorney General William Barr to keep to his commitment on releasing the findings of the report.
