Trump Just Blew a Gasket on Twitter and Accused Dems of Harassment, ‘Stone Cold CRAZY!’

Donald Trump erupted on Twitter on Tuesday and attacked Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler, accusing the House Judiciary Committee chairman of attempting to “harass” his associates in a wide-ranging probe into Trump’s administration, campaign and businesses.

“Nadler, Schiff and the Dem heads of the Committees have gone stone cold CRAZY. 81 letter sent to innocent people to harass them. They won’t get ANYTHING done for our Country!” he tweeted.

Trump also referenced House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who on Monday made a sweeping request for documents and interviews related to Trump’s conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump said Democrats are ramping up their investigations “now that they realize the only Collusion with Russia was done by Crooked Hillary Clinton & the Democrats.”

Trump has been grumbling about “harassment” a lot lately, but obviously, his newest tweet is a response to the new investigation House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler has launched against his administration.

Between the scope of the probe and the number of people who’ve been asked to turn over documents of interest, it seems the increased levels of oversight could become a new, lasting source of frustration for Trump.

And Trump wasn’t done yet!

Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a blistering statement on Monday night, accusing Nadler of having political motives in opening a “disgraceful and abusive investigation” into allegations of obstruction of justice, corruption and abuses of power.

“The Democrats are more interested in pathetic political games and catering to a radical, leftist base than on producing results for our citizens,” said press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “The Democrats are not after the truth, they are after the president.”

Earlier on Monday, Trump suggested he might cooperate with the investigation, telling reporters, “I cooperate all the time with everybody.”

But the latest statements suggest the White House could invoke executive privilege or take other steps to block Democrats from obtaining information related to the inner workings of the West Wing.
