Ivanka Trump Thinks She Can Be President as Family Seeks a White House ‘Dynasty’

According to a new book, Ivanka Trump thinks she could one day be president and believes her father has started a “great American dynasty” in politics by winning the White House.

The claim is featured in “Kushner, Inc”, a book written by Vanity Fair contributing editor Vicky Ward and published by St. Martin’s Press on Tuesday.

Ivanka Trump, 37, who is Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, is a businesswoman and White House adviser on women and small business.

Her husband Jared Kushner, 38, is from a billionaire real estate family and also a White House adviser, focusing on Middle East policy, and handful of other projects.

According to The New York Times, the book states that Gary Cohn, former director of Trump’s National Economic Council, told people Ivanka Trump thinks she could be president in the future.

“Her father’s reign in Washington, D.C., is, she believes, the beginning of a great American dynasty,” Ward wrote.

Recently, Trump and Kushner have faced criticism over the circumstances in which both were handed top secret security clearances at the White House.

The New York Times previously reported that Trump ordered his then White House Chief-of-Staff John Kelly to grant Kushner top-secret security clearance, despite opposition from Kelly, White House counsel Don McGahn and the CIA.

CNN subsequently reported that the president also demanded his daughter Ivanka receive top-secret security clearance despite similar concerns.

Ivanka Trump also came under fire for comments about Americans not wanting handouts. She was gifted executive roles in her wealthy family’s real estate company, The Trump Organization, and later the White House adviser job after her father won the presidency.

The first daughter was criticizing Democrats’ support of the Green New Deal, a climate-friendly stimulus package that pledges to guarantee a decent-paying job for all Americans.

“I don’t think most Americans in their heart want to be given something,” Trump said during a Fox News interview with Steve Hilton.

“I’ve spent a lot of time traveling around this country over the last four years. People want to work for what they get. So I think this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want.”
