Melania Trump wore a bright pink houndstooth coat while welcoming the Colombian president and his wife to the White House on Wednesday. But some people on Twitter are saying that it looks as if she was planning on staying inside, because her coat resembles a bathrobe.

The “First Lady” was hand-in-hand with her husband, Donald Trump, when she received a lot of comments about the $3,500 Fendi coat with mink cuffs (ugh).

CNN’s Kate Bennett, a former fashion editor, quickly identified the coat Melania was wearing:

Some were furious over the estimated cost of the coat, calling it wasteful and pointing out that most Americans don’t earn that kind of money in a month. Despite this, the coat has sold out since Melania stepped out in it on Wednesday.

I'm disappointed by her choices lately. This has a bathrobe look to it. A mink-trimmed bathrobe. Has a very strong Zsa Zsa Gabor feel.
