Trump Supporters Can Get a Photo With the President Tonight — But it Will Cost Them $15,000
Donald Trump is currently on route to El Paso, Texas to hold a “Make America Great Again” rally where he will be touting his demands for $5.7 billion worth of funding for his proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
But Trump will also be using the opportunity to fundraise for his 2020 re-election campaign by selling tickets for a photo opportunity with the president. The price — $15,000 each.
Washington Post White House reporter Josh Dawsey shared the event invitation on Twitter earlier today.
“RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and Trump Victory Finance Chairman Todd Ricketts cordially invite you to a photo opportunity and rally with Donald J. Trump President of the United States,” it read. “Photo opportunity $15,000 to attend.”
Not on the president’s schedule but appears he is also doing some fundraising in Texas tonight. $15K for a photo, per invite. pic.twitter.com/bPzTO7WVXM

Although the photo price seems high, it’s actually relatively reasonable compared to another Trump campaign fundraising event last September where the president charged $100,000 for a place at a roundtable event in Washington D.C., an additional $70,000 per couple for a photo opportunity and another $35,000 per couple for dinner.
Twitter had some thoughts:
Meanwhile, the government is about to shut down again, hurting thousands of workers and their families even more. POTUS should be at WH, working hard for these people, not out fundraising and using that money to pay lawyers.

If he really did care about the working and middle class like he claims he'd go to a Wal-Mart and shake hands and take pics for $15, not $15k at some swanky place. Yet these idiots who support him STILL can't see through these sorts of things.

Classic Trump – lots of executive time, plenty of lunches and tons of fundraising & campaigning, not too much governing for the country happening. Maybe it’s a good thing. #SwampingUpTheSwamp https://t.co/v64wt8JajI
