Trump Responds to Robert Kraft’s Arrest in Typical Trump Fashion, ‘He Has Denied It!’

Donald Trump said on Friday that the news of New England Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft’s charges in Florida for solicitation of a prostitute was “very sad,” while also saying that Kraft has denied the charges.

During a press pool session in the Oval Office Friday afternoon, the president said he was surprised to see Kraft be charged by Florida police, an announcement that was made earlier in the day.

“Surprised to see it. He has denied it,” Trump reportedly said, while calling it a “very sad” situation.

Kraft’s spokesman has denied allegations of any unlawful activity. He was charged Friday with two counts of solicitation of prostitution, according to police who said during a news conference that they have video evidence of the encounters.

“Our concern in this investigation centers around the possibility of victims of human trafficking,” said Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr at the press conference Friday.

“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity,” Kraft’s spokesperson said in a statement. “Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.”
