Pro-Trump Singer Goes to the Grammy’s Dressed as Trump’s Border Wall — Twitter Has Questions

Singer Joy Villa, who made headlines for her pro-Trump and pro-life gowns at the past two Grammy Awards, continued to make a right-leaning political statement with her Grammys 2019 ensemble.

The 27-year-old singer walked the red carpet as Donald Trump’s controversial border wall, complete with barbed wire on her shoulders, a spiked headpiece and a “Make America Great Again” purse.

“I’m part Latina. I’m black, and I believe in what the president’s saying,” the singer told the Los Angeles Times.

On Instagram, Villa’s designer distanced herself from the dress’ political message.

“DISCLAIMER: The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed by my clients are not necessarily the same as my views, thoughts, and opinions,” the designer wrote.

Villa, known more for her support of the President than for her music, wore a “Make America Great Again” gown at the 2017 Grammy Awards and a pro-life dress with an image of a fetus at the show in 2018.

In late 2017, she filed a sexual assault complaint against former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski after she publicly accused her of spanking her” really hard” at a holiday party.
