Trump Tweets That Because It’s Snowing in January There Can’t Be Global Warming
Donald Trump has again confused weather with climate change, suggesting the country would benefit from “a little of that good old fashioned Global Warming right now” as a massive snowstorm dropped several inches of snow and sent temperatures plunging across the Midwest and swaths of the Northeast United States.
Little more than two months since a similarly misleading conflation, the president tweeted: “Be careful and try staying in your house. Large parts of the Country are suffering from tremendous amounts of snow and near record setting cold.
“Amazing how big this system is. Wouldn’t be bad to have a little of that good old fashioned Global Warming right now!”

In November, Trump conflated seasonal weather with climate change, suggesting chilly conditions meant global warming wasn’t real.

Trump has long history of denying the scientific consensus on climate change. He once claimed the phenomenon was a Chinese hoax intended to hurt American exports.
In October, Trump told CBS’s 60 Minutes he thought that although the climate might be changing, the climate “could very well go back”.
Twitter was shaking their heads:
Anyone who thinks cold weather disproves global warming is too dumb to be trusted with shoe laces, much less the nuclear codes. https://t.co/1e8ThrGtNr

The President of the United States is breathtakingly ignorant. Recall that he previously fabricated the insane claim that the Chinese government invented climate change. It's objectively bonkers and ignorant and we shouldn't pretend otherwise simply because he's the president. https://t.co/oSkvN1Wh77

This tweet alone should be an impeachable offence. https://t.co/9Pc9Or4fvz

I think if we are in areas where there is record setting snow, we already know. Do you really need to tell the country to keep a lookout for snow? We aren't blind!
BTW, Global warming doesn't mean we don't have snow, you fool!
Pick up a book for once!

You are a sick person. And a complete idiot. If we somehow manage to survive your presidency, our grandchildren will not be kind to you in the history books.

There are NO words for the foolishness you spew. Big snow storms are EXACTLY what global warming is about. Global warming does NOT mean "it's warmer everywhere". It means there are EXTREME temperatures everywhere bc ice melts, oceans rise and that causes a chain reaction.
