Trump to Travel to Southern Border for Giant Photo Op to ‘Meet with Those on the Front Lines’
Donald Trump will travel to the U.S.-Mexico border this week amid a partial government shutdown triggered by his demand for wall funding, the White House announced on Monday.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump will “meet with those on the frontlines” of what the administration is calling “the national security and humanitarian crisis” at the southwest border.
President @realDonaldTrump will travel to the Southern border on Thursday to meet with those on the frontlines of the national security and humanitarian crisis. More details will be announced soon.

Trump’s visit to the border would come on the 20th day of the ongoing partial government shutdown, which is in a stalemate over his demand that congressional Democrats vote to fund a wall — now a steel barrier — along the border.

Reality: he's going to spread lies, meet with border agents / officials sympathetic to his anti-immigrant cause, and will ignore the kids he has locked up in Tornillo. https://t.co/Y52eL4ee10

She's lying. There is no security crisis. Her boss has said the border is "tight".
Thee humanitarian crisis was caused by this administration when they decided to kidnap children from their parents and lock them in cages. https://t.co/mbO8eMzcKr

The only real humanitarian crisis at the border is the WH cruel policies of separating children from parents, tear gassing, making ports of entry not functional, threatening migrants to sign docs under duress & not in their dialect & saying all migrants are rapists & criminals. https://t.co/XYEUMT2fGV
