Trump Says ‘Cryin Chuck’ Schumer is a Liar For Claiming He Had Temper Tantrum, ‘No Slamming, Bye-Bye!’

Donald Trump is back on Twitter Thursday morning, this time disputing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer‘s account of how their disastrous meeting together fell apart yesterday.

Trump tweeted, “Cryin Chuck told his favorite lie when he used his standard sound bite that I “slammed the table & walked out of the room. He had a temper tantrum.” Because I knew he would say that, and after Nancy said no to proper Border Security, I politely said bye-bye and left, no slamming!”

Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Congressional Democrats journeyed to the White House yesterday for a new round of discussions about the government shutdown over Trump’s demand for a border wall. After negotiations failed to go anywhere, Schumer told reporters Trump had a “temper tantrum because he couldn’t get his way,” slammed the table and walked out of the room.

Trump then appeared to address reports of flagging GOP support over the government shutdown, tweeting:

The partial government shutdown, now in its 20th day, was prompted because Trump refused to sign a bill to fund the government that didn’t include at least $5 billion for a wall along the southern border.

Democrats have vowed not to approve any funding for the wall, while Trump has maintained that he won’t reopen the government until they do.

Then Trump had to quote one of the hosts from his favorite show Fox and Friends, tweeting, ““Great support for Border Security and the Wall.” @foxandfriends Even greater than anyone would know! “Presidents supporters do not want him to cave.” @SteveDoocy I won’t!”

Then a few quick last tweets before he heads off to Texas for his costly dumb border wall stunt:
