Trump Rages on Twitter That Democrats Are Off ‘Having Fun’ As Federal Workers Go Unpaid
Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam the Democrats for refusing to discuss options that could end the ongoing government shutdown on Sunday.
Trump said that while he is staying at the White House waiting for a continuation of negotiations, the Democrats are “are everywhere but Washington” and “having fun” while government employees are working without pay or are on furlough.
“I’m in the White House, waiting. The Democrats are everywhere but Washington as people await their pay. They are having fun and not even talking!”

The Democrats were there with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to learn infrastructure and economic challenges Puerto Rico is facing in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which devastated the island, and they will meet with local officials.
“Hamilton” creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda on Sunday slammed Trump as a liar after the president criticized Democrats for going to Puerto Rico to see him perform in a charity show for the hurricane-ravished country.
“Your occasional reminder that our current president lies as easy as you and I breathe air. Every day, all day, reflexively,” he tweeted.

Twitter reacted the same way:
This is a fundraiser to aid Puerto Rico, which is necessary because your administration left American citizens to die, making the response to Katrina look competent.
Way to remind us how deplorable and inept you are????????

You walked out the meeting, you moron.
Why don’t you make a “great deal”—instead of crying like a petulant child.#PetulantPresident— Leftwing Marine (Jake) (@USMCLiberal) January 13, 2019
We don't care how lonely you are. You are by yourself in the White House because you scared all of your allies and friends away. Meanwhile Mitch McConnell went home and 4 Republicans have decided you are wrong. Give up. You lost this battle!

You feeble minded old goat, you had the votes for two years, and now it’s a “crisis”? More like a distraction from your treason.

How about you reach out to your friends on the Senate side who made a surprise visit for you to Russia on July 4th. You are ruining the lives of Americans and they are letting you. Why?

The House Democrats approved Mitch McConnell's bill…verbatim. Nothing could be a greater sign of commitment to bi-partisan solutions wherever they are possible. You stopped it. You shutdown the government. You admitted on TV you were doing. All for a vain, racist, folly.

Guys, if Trump really was a Russian asset he would be working to divide America, shut down its government, and shamelessly let Russian oligarchs out of sanctions while advancing their interests abroad.
Wait…
