Trump Mocks His Critics on Twitter For Criticizing Him: I’m President And You’re Not!

Donald Trump has thoughts about people who write books that criticize him and his presidency: “Gee, I’m in the White House, & they’re not!”

Trump delivered the message Thursday on Twitter, as former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a fellow Republican who scuttled his own White House run in 2016 after placing sixth in the New Hampshire primary, promoted his memoir “Let Me Finish.”

Christie in recent days told talk show host Stephen Colbert that Trump “blew it” with a partial government shutdown.

“So great to watch & listen to all these people who write books & talk about my presidential campaign and so many others things related to winning, and how I should be doing ‘IT.’ As I take it all in, I then sit back, look around, & say ‘gee, I’m in the White House, & they’re not!,”’ Trump said on Twitter.

The latest book from Christie follows “Team of Vipers,” a tell-all book by former White House aide Cliff Sims. Trump on Tuesday attacked Sims by name on Twitter, calling him a “low-level staffer” and his book a boring and based on made-up stories. “He pretended to be an insider when in fact he was nothing more than a gofer.

Sims later proved he wasn’t in fact a gofer.
