Trump Just Snapped At Reporters When Asked If He’s A Russian Asset, ‘It’s a Disgrace You’d Ask That Question!’

Donald Trump just angrily attacked reporters on the White House’s South Lawn when they asked him if he was a Russian asset.

Reporters asked Trump the question in the wake of a bombshell New York Times report that revealed the FBI opened an investigation into whether Trump had been acting at the behest of the Russian government during both the 2016 presidential campaign and while as president.

Trump was asked about the report as he prepared to leave for New Orleans, where he will give a speech to a farming group.

Trump responded, “I never worked for Russia. Not only did I never work for Russia, I think it’s a disgrace that you even ask that question, because it’s a whole big fat hoax. It’s just a hoax.”

Trump was also asked about Sen. Lindsey Graham’s suggestion that Trump could sign a stopgap spending bill to buy more time for talks, but Trump responded that he rejected it.

“I’m not interested. I want to get it solved. I don’t want to just delay it. I want to get it solved,” he said.

The president also hit Democrats for traveling to Puerto Rico for an event while he has been at the White House.

“I’ve been here all weekend,” he said. “The Democrats have to do something, we need their votes, otherwise we can’t solve” the so-called “crisis” along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The comments come on the 24th day of the partial government shutdown and underscore that there is no end in sight to the wall-funding standoff.

“I don’t know that we’re close to the deal, it should be the easiest deal I’ve ever seen,” Trump said.
