Donald Trump hit Twitter Sunday morning where continued to rail about the shutdown by insisting that “many Hispanics” will come to “the Republican side” over the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, which Trump himself has indicated would not be part of the negotiations.

On Sunday morning, Trump tweeted that “Democrats are saying that DACA is not worth it and don’t want to include in talks. Many Hispanics will be coming over to the Republican side, watch!”

But for several weeks, it has been Trump who has stated that he would rather wait until the Supreme Court rules on his executive order rescinding DACA before he would consider negotiating over the policy.

As recently as January 6, Trump told reporters that he would like to wait for such a ruling before negotiating on DACA.

“I would consider DACA, but I think we’d complicate it,” Trump told reporters during an impromptu gaggle on the South Lawn of the White House. “I’d rather have the Supreme Court rule and then work with the Democrats on DACA. I want to help with DACA, but I’d rather have — because, you know, it’s going to be before the Supreme Court very soon. And rather than doing something with DACA — now, frankly, I’d rather work with the Democrats. Let the Supreme Court rule first.”

Trump then claimed his wall would reduce crime rates, with absolutely zero evidence to prove this.

Then Trump bemoaned being in the White House again, saying, “I’m in the White House, waiting. The Democrats are everywhere but Washington as people await their pay. They are having fun and not even talking!”

Trump’s tweet storm continued, “The damage done to our Country from a badly broken Border – Drugs, Crime and so much that is bad – is far greater than a Shutdown, which the Dems can easily fix as soon as they come back to Washington!”

Then Trump’s final tweet of the morning was about “sexual crimes.”

“Thousands of illegal aliens who have committed sexual crimes against children are right now in Texas prisons. Most came through our Southern Border. We can end this easily – We need a Steel Barrier or Wall. Walls Work! John Jones, Texas Department of Public Safety.”
