Sarah Huckabee Sanders Gives Trainwreck Interview Where She REFUSES to Deny Trump Directed Roger Stone to Coordinate With WikiLeaks

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders appeared on CNN’s New Day Friday morning and consistently pushed back on host John Berman’s questions that have arisen after the news broke that Roger Stone had been arrested by the FBI.

Details from the unsealed indictment reveal that Stone is alleged to have been a proxy between the Trump campaign and Wikileaks over the coordinated release of information illegally gained by Russian operatives who are also under indictment by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Berman noted that Sanders was a member of the Trump campaign during this time frame, then asked pointedly “Were you aware of the effort to get in touch with Wikileaks through Roger Stone?”

Sanders confirmed that she was a member of the campaign before repeating her standard reply that “there was no collusion, there was no wrongdoing by the president.”

She then tried to flip the script, saying “what I also know is that outlets like yours, CNN spent significant time looking for information on Wikileaks and also reporting on it. Does that mean CNN is guilty of collusion?”

Berman then directly asked Sanders if Donald Trump directed Stone to seek data stolen by Russian operatives, to which the Press Secretary did not deny nor even really address.

“The question is a senior Trump campaign official was directed by whom to contact Roger stone,” Berman stated, then followed “Did the president direct someone to contact Roger Stone?”

Sanders stonewalled, saying “I’m not an attorney” before claiming that she had not read through the indictment. She then added “Even if I had I can’t provide you some type of insight or legal analysis. I can tell you the specific charges brought against Mr. Stone don’t have anything to do with the president.”

Berman noted that, according to former Trump Campaign Manager, Trump was often in contact with his old friend Roger Stone, which he did not like.

Berman asked if the White House got a “heads up from the Justice Department this arrest would take place this morning,” to which Sanders claimed not one that of which she was aware.

Sanders again made the curious defense of details in the indictment, asking of CNN was “guilty of collusion” because they had sought information from Wikileaks themselves. The White House Press Secretary appeared to be confused by the acceptable behavior of an international news organization and a presidential candidate who specifically can not conspire with a foreign government during a national campaign.
