Watch Trump Trump Run Out Of Bill Signing When Asked About Michael Cohen’s Sentence
Donald Trump participated in a signing event on Wednesday for an Executive Order establishing the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council. However, after reading some prepared remarks from the lectern and signing the bill, Trump quickly rushed out when he was asked questions about his former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen.
On Wednesday morning, Cohen was sentenced to three years in federal prison for a series of crimes he committed while working for Trump.
U.S. District Judge William H. Pauley III sentenced Cohen to 36 months in jail in Manhattan federal court. The sentence stems from eight federal charges he pleaded guilty to in August, including campaign finance violations tied to a scheme to pay off women alleging affairs with Trump in order to prevent damaging information from surfacing during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Additionally, American Media Inc., the parent company of the National Enquirer, agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York.

AMI admitted that it paid $150,000 to a woman “in concert with” Trump’s campaign “in order to ensure that the woman did not publicize damaging allegations about the candidate before the 2016 presidential election.”
Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, was paid $150,000 in 2016 by publishers of the National Enquirer for exclusive rights to her story about her alleged affair with Trump. The Enquirer then never ran the story.
So perhaps it’s not a surprise that Trump would want to remain quiet.
