Sarah Huckabee Sanders Explains How She Deals With The Stress Of Her Job — With Booze

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has revealed how she deals with her extreme workload as the White House press secretary: “Lots of coffee and a little wine in the evening.”

“That’ll probably also get me in trouble, I’m sure in some way, particularly given my dad was a Southern Baptist minister,” Sanders added during a panel at Politico’s “Women Rule” 2018 summit on Tuesday Her father is former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Sanders also provided insight into how she raises children while juggling a high-profile political job.

“Do you talk about politics with your kids?” Politico’s Eliana Johnson asked. Sanders’s three children are 6, 5 and 3 years old.

“I do,” Sanders replied. “And to much of my sadness, my kids are very unimpressed by most of what I do.”

“I think they think everyone’s parents are on TV because they grew up with my dad being on TV pretty regularly, and now I am and I think they think that’s just what people do,” she said.

“They would much prefer to watch anything animated,” Sanders added.

Sanders also said she tries not to focus on criticisms surrounding her appearance.

“No matter how good or how bad you look, or how great or how bad you say something, you’re always going to have people that disagree with you no matter what you do,” she said.

When Johnson pressed Sanders over some of Donald Trump’s insults aimed at female reporters, Sanders pushed back, saying the president has had an “equal number of contentious conversations with your male colleagues.”

Trump drew scrutiny last month when he insulted three black women reporters in the span of one week.

Sanders said she believes it would be a “disservice to every woman in the country” if anyone believed that a woman cannot “have it all.”

Of course the question is, is holding one press briefing a month really that stressful?
