WATCH: Fox News Just Booted Guest Who Compared Hillary Clinton To Herpes

On Thanksgiving afternoon, Fox News issued an apology to both to its viewers and to Hillary Clinton after a guest compared the former Secretary of State to “herpes.”

The exchange came during an awkward interview where host Rick Leventhal tried to prompt Turning Point USA’s Anna Paulina into talking about Clinton’s emails.

Instead, Paulina answered this: “I’d have to say, with everything that happened with President Trump and the border, you know the Dick Act of 1903 established the ability of the president to federalize the National Guard and basically call forth the National Guard in times of crisis…”

Leventhal then reminded his guest that he thought they were talking about Clinton and her emails before moving on to his other guest, political analyst Doug Schoen.

Schoen talked on the right topic — Clinton and her emails — which prompted Leventhal to remark that it is amazing Clinton is still in the headlines.

That is when Paulina decided to join in.

“She won’t go away. She’s like herpes!” Paulina interjected.

“Okay, that is news that we are breaking here. Not appropriate,” Leventhal said, clearly taken back by his guest’s words.

She was promptly booted from the segment.

“We are going to wrap this segment a little bit early because of the language that was used in the segment, and we apologize to our viewers for that,” Fox News host Rick Leventhal said shortly after Paulina disappeared from the screen.

Then, Fox News anchor Arthel Neville further apologized.

“We are all Americans, and that is the focus and we want to reiterate that we do not condone the language that Anna Paulina just displayed here, and we apologize to Secretary Clinton for that,” she said after the segment wrapped up. “Fox News does not condone her sentiment.”
