Trump Just Demanded The ‘Immediate End’ Of Mueller Probe In Crazy Late-Night Tweet

Donald Trump called for special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation to “be ended immediately” in a late night tweet Thursday evening.

In the tweet, Trump quoted Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, who had just made an appearance on Fox News.

“Alan Dershowitz: ‘These are not crimes. He (Mueller) has no authority to be a roving Commissioner. I don’t see any evidence of crimes.’ This is an illegal Hoax that should be ended immediately. Mueller refuses to look at the real crimes on the other side. Where is the IG REPORT?” Trump tweeted.

The attacks on Mueller’s investigation into potential ties between the Kremlin and his campaign are nothing new; however, his latest barbs came hours after Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, reached a plea deal with Mueller that revealed negotiations about building a Trump Tower in Moscow occurred well into the 2016 presidential campaign.

Afterward, Trump called Cohen a “weak person” and a “liar.” Cohen also pleaded guilty in August to eight counts of campaign finance violations, tax fraud, and bank fraud.

Earlier in the day, before the plea deal, Trump tweeted that Mueller’s investigation was an “illegal Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt, one that has shattered so many innocent lives.”
