Scared Trump Just Slammed Michael Cohen As ‘Weak Person’ Following His Guilty Plea
Donald Trump just slammed his former personal lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, as a “weak person” for pleading guilty to lying to Congress in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
Trump accused Cohen of “lying” in order to get a reduced sentence.
“He’s trying to get a much lesser sentence by making up the story,” he said, adding “everybody knows about this deal.”
Cohen, who served for years as Trump’s personal lawyer, pleaded guilty on Thursday morning to one count of making false statements to Congress related to his testimony about communications with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Trump on why he kept Michael Cohen as a lawyer & adviser for so many years: "Because a long time ago he did me a favor."

Cohen said he was untruthful about his involvement in a proposal to build a Trump property in Russia.
Cohen previously told Congress that negotiations to build a Trump Tower deal in Moscow ended in January 2016, but emails showed that he continued to talk with a Russian developer about the project into the summer of 2016.
As he exited a New York courthouse on Thursday morning, Cohen remained quiet as his lawyer issued a brief comment to reporters.
“Mr. Cohen has cooperated. Mr. Cohen will continue to cooperate,” the attorney said.
Sentencing for Cohen is set for Dec. 12, the attorney added.

TRUMP, speaking to reporters outside the White House, says Michael Cohen is "a weak person. And by being weak, unlike other people that you watch, he's a weak person, and what he's trying to do is get a reduced sentence. So he is lying about a project everybody knew about." pic.twitter.com/QVSGJcoRa6
